But there is more than just a beach here. Be sure to see the old buildings in the Downtown area on Fernandina Beach Main Street, which leads to the Amelia River.

There are parking lots on the side of the road in the area, you have to pay attention to the signs in the parking lots in the US. Normally there is a fee, but we went there around 17:00 and when we asked one of the shops, he said there was no need to pay.

As for amenities, Amelia Island has plenty to offer. There are several restaurants and cafes, as well as shops and boutiques.

There’s also a golf course, tennis courts, and a spa. If you’re looking for nightlife, there are several bars and clubs on the island. Basically, there’s something for everyone on Amelia Island.

Each explorer gave names to these unusual plants from their own culture. Some call it gray beard, some French hair, some Spanish beard. The Spanish one was the most popular and today it is known as Spanish moss.

At the southern end of Amelia Island is Amelia Island State Park, and to the north is Fort Clinch State Park. Here you can camp. Those who have both tents and caravans can come and stay here. There are two different camping spots.

One is Atlantic Beach Campground on the northeast coast and the other is Fort Clinch Amelia River Campground on the west. The Amelia Island Museum of History

There is a history museum located in Amelia Island. In the museum, you can learn about shipping and knot tying, a model of the 4000-year-old Timucuan Village in the region, how the first people lived here, the development of industry and the war period.
